Timothy Saunders, a lad of 18 years of age lives
in a small town in South Australia, during the late 1880's. His
dream of traveling to lands afar on a sailing ship comes true when
he meets Captain O'Reilly. This connection provides
him a ticket and an introduction to Mr. Daniels, a prominent businessman
who hires him as his assistant.
Timothy Saunders, Captain O'Reilly, and Mr.
Daniels form a strong camaraderie. Captain O'Reilly not only faces
challenging seas, but his values are tested because of a three
tiered investigation aboard the ship.
Mr. Daniels realizes that attaining wealth without wisdom is
nothing but an empty experience. All three reach for success in
both personal and business situations and learn that success and happiness can
be acquired at the same time. They are constantly reminded that
every decision comes
with a consequence and
that memories and attachments to
situations, possessions and family situations can block progress
on a personal level.
Love and marriage was
on the minds of many but not necessarily for the same reasons.
Uncertainty surrounding business decisions prompts Evan and Timothy
to re-evaluate their expectations in life, as the outcome of Mr.
Daniels' dilemma could interfere with the fulfillment and reward they
are seeking.
Their dreams come to fruition but not necessarily
as planned. The characters learn first hand the meaning of the
word miracle and realize that miracles when
received are indeed a response to the requests that
were put forward. |
